At the Law Offices of Kara H. Daley, we believe that the law should be accessible to you. This means clear explanations for your complex issues as well as reasonable costs for our professional services. Many of our services are offered at a flat rate, so that our clients can focus on the legal issues and not worry about the costs.   Our goal is to provide you with piece of mind and quality services.  We help clients create secure futures.

Our Expertise

Our office is committed to providing you with professional and experienced assistance. With over 17 years as an attorney, Kara Daley currently focuses on:

Estate Planning: Our office can help evaluate your needs and help you choose appropriate planning tools that may include wills, trusts, probate.  We provide dignified representation for your unique circumstances and are familiar with senior concerns, special needs, LGBT and partnership planning, business succession, pet law and complex trusts.

Elder Law: Our office provides experienced planning for senior concerns which may include: long term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardian and conservatorships, elder abuse,  Income Cap trusts, and end of life planning.  We can, at times, provide in-house visits if medically required.

Special Needs Planning: Our office can educate you in evaluating and establishing the type of Special Needs Trust appropriate to the particular circumstances of the beneficiary which may include First Party Revocable and Irrevocable SNTs, and well as Third Party Under-65 Disability Trusts.  Once the trust is established we can assist with maintenance and distribution concerns.

Biographies

Kara H. Daley

Kara H. Daley, a long time resident of Corvallis, Oregon earned her JD and Certificate of Alternative Dispute Resolution from Willamette University’s College of Law. Kara also graduated with honors from Oregon State University, receiving a BA in American Studies and a BA in Philosophy. After several years of litigation work, Kara returned to Corvallis from Salem to focus on estate planning, elder law, and special needs trusts, fields allowing her assist clients with positive life changes.

With over 17 years of experience, the assistance of a topnotch staff, and the company of office cat, Justice (aka “Chief), Kara provides clear explanations for complex legal issues and helps clients plan for their futures. Married for 20 years, Kara enjoys raising her three children and energetic puppy and is an active community member in Corvallis. Kara currently serves as Vice-President of PEP and is a member of Zonta.  She has formerly served as:  Co-Chair of the Jefferson Elementary School Carnival and OBOB, Director of Communications and Benton County Liaison for the Linn-Benton County Bar Association, and as a member at large for a number of organizations including: the Grace Center and Heartland Humane Society.  Kara also volunteers often for her children’s school.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, our Office Manager, brings order to chaos.  She has been with the firm for over five years and is a wonderful resource. Elizabeth competently shepherd our clients through their mountains of paperwork and can be counted on to help keep your case on track.

Elisabeth

The newest member of our staff, Elisabeth, holds a master degree in ESL and is our receptionist and accounting clerk.   She jokes that we hired her just for her name and always has a ready smile on a rainy day.

Former Staff

Many of our clients have worked closely with former staff members and will be happy to know: that Melanie is doing wonderfully well in her new home in Reno, has a new dog Cleo, and recently completed her paralegal degree; Amanda is excited to be a first-time college student at OSU and looks forward to a career in social service. Over the years we have received many complements on our staff and thank you for your good wishes.

Greeters Our chief greeter, Justice, a fluffy white feline, sees to our client’s hospitality concerns.  She at times, will accept assistance from, Sasha, a golden retriever puppy.  If you are allergic to or have concerns with pets, please let our staff know and arrangements will be made to accommodate you. We are sorry to say that Harley, our former canine greeter, passed away some years ago, she is still missed.
