Estate Planning & Probate: Our office can help evaluate your needs and help you choose appropriate planning tools that may include wills, trusts, powers of attorney and/or probate. We provide dignified representation for your unique circumstances and are familiar with senior concerns, special needs, LGBT and partnership planning, business succession, pet law and complex trusts. When the time comes to probate an estate, we are here to help.
Elder Law: Our office provides experienced planning for senior concerns which may include: long term care planning, Medicaid planning, guardian and conservatorships, elder abuse, Income Cap trusts, and end of life planning. We can, at times, provide in-house visits if medically required.
Special Needs Planning: Our office can educate you in evaluating and establishing the type of Special Needs Trust appropriate to the particular circumstances of the beneficiary which may include First Party Revocable and Irrevocable SNTs, and well as Third Party Under-65 Disability Trusts. Once the trust is established we can assist with maintenance and distribution concerns.

Kara H. Daley
Kara H. Daley, a long time resident of Corvallis, Oregon earned her JD and Certificate of Alternative Dispute Resolution from Willamette University’s College of Law. Kara also graduated with honors from Oregon State University, receiving a BA in American Studies and a BA in Philosophy. After several years of litigation work, Kara returned to Corvallis from Salem to focus on estate planning, elder law, and special needs trusts, fields allowing her assist clients with positive life changes.
With almost 20 years of experience, the assistance of a topnotch staff, and the company of office cat, Justice (aka “Chief), Kara provides clear explanations for complex legal issues and helps clients plan for their family’s future. Kara is active in the community and currently serves as Secretary and Grants Committee Co-Chair for the Corvallis Chapter of Zonta. She has formerly served in such capacities as: Secretary of the Board and Chair of the Grant’s Committee for the Corvallis Zonta Club, Director of Communications and Benton County Liaison for the Linn-Benton County Bar Association, Co-Chair of the Jefferson Elementary School Carnival and as a member at large for a number of organizations including: the Grace Center and Heartland Humane Society. Kara is a frequent speaker for local organizations and has lectured to: the Lane County Bar, the Linn/Benton County Bar, the National Bar Institute, the Oregon State University Faculty Senate, the Alzheimer’s Support Association, the Good Samaritan’s Cancer Support Group and a variety of local community organizations. Married for 20 plus years, Kara enjoys raising her three children and energetic golden retriever in Corvallis.
Stacy, our Office Manager, walks our clients through their mountains of paperwork and can be counted on to help keep your case on track. She is a point of contact for all probate, guardianship and conservatorship cases.
Chandler, our receptionist, is working toward her bachelors degree and intends to go to law school. Her cheerful welcome is often your first contact with our firm.
Many of our clients have worked closely with former staff members and will be happy to know: Elizabeth (our former office manage) is launching a career as a self funded analyst at her new Salem firm PBS. Elisabeth (our former receptionist) is taking more time with her family and new dog Sochel. Melanie is doing wonderfully well in her new home in Reno and enjoys spending time with her dog Cleo. Amanda attended OSU and looks forward to a career in social service. Over the years we have received many complements on our staff and thank you for your good wishes.
Greeters Our chief greeter, Justice, a fluffy white feline, sees to our client’s hospitality concerns. She at times, will accept assistance from, Goose, a fluffy Jack Russel terrier, Sasha, a golden retriever or a visit from Jordy, a trained therapy shih tzu. If you are allergic to or have concerns with pets, please let our staff know and arrangements will be made to accommodate you. We are sorry to say that Harley, our former canine greeter, passed away some years ago, she is still missed.
